I pick dogs. Waaayyy better. Kittens are nice but once they grow up into full cats...yuk. Dog's are gentile and nice when trained, and a whole heck of a lot more fun to play with. You can't really play fetch with a cat. That's why dog's are man's best friend! Which do you pick?

I like both cats and dogs but just wanted to comment that you can actually play fetch with a cat. Only the cat usually won't bring the toy right directly back to you. They will bring it halfway. It's adorable playing fetch with a cat because it looks so weird. Some cats can be trained. I knew one guy who trained his cat to heel and he would walk him outside. It was the weirdest thing I ever saw. He trained him by carrying frech fish with him so the cat would obsessively follow the smell of the fish and he would reward the cat at the end of the walk.

Cats!!! they are smart, independient, curios, friendly, clean... I have 2 that love to be where I am all the time or take turns to be with me and hubby if we are in separate rooms. The cuddle with us in bed and play with us all the time. We can leave them alone a whole weekend with just enough food and water and they will be ok, also I don't have to walk them every single day, they live happy lifes indoors.

Wow, great response! That gives a different angle on cats, but I think I still like dogs better. Some cats have different personalities than others, so you can never really be sure. :-)

Well i got both A dog and A cat at home....But somehow i still love my dog more....I guess dogs are more affectionate and lovable....Whereas my cat is very moody as he comes 2 us and starts purrinnggggg only when we open his Cat-Food box.... well i luv both of them....one reminds us of loyalty and we think iots our slave whereas the other puts us back 'coz of its 'hard to get attitude'... but dogs re loyal and honest they never leave there master or owner alone in there there bad times

I definately pick the dog! Cats are cute, but a dog is cute and truly a best friend! They want to be with you all day, cuddle you when you are sad, and rescue you when it's necessary!

I agree cats more just roam around the house aimlessly while dogs will follow you and have fun playing.

I'm absolutely a dog lover I got nothing against cats there nice too, though sometimes I really find hard to communicate with them.I got this feeling that they think that they're better than other animals and sometimes humans too. They got some attitude problem i guess,hehehehehe...lol, cat's they're really mysterious.

I prefer DOGS than cats because, 1st of all i'm a dog lover. also, cats tend to do some crazy stuffs like climbing your cabinets and scratching carpets and most of all, they're poopoos and weewees smells so bad.

I have a dog and a cat.I have to disagree about the cat, because cats are very nice too.I have my cat nutered and have declawed his front claws,he is big, fluffy and soft and well behaved..I really hated his kitty stage because hejumped all over the place but now he is gentle and never jumps on my tables are anything..My cat gets along with my dog and they are real pals..I use to feel like you until i had some experience with cats ,they require a lot less attention than my dog,I feel like I have to entertain my dog, where as my cat entertains himself...I suppose at one time dogs would have been my pick, but now im not really sure i could make that choice...

I think for me that would be a hard decision. I have had both at one time or another. I just had to put my cat to sleep a year ago. A cat is very independent. It basically does what it wants to. My cat would come to me when I called her. No I don't know of full grown cats that will play along with their owners. That doesn't mean there aren't any. Remember just like people, cats have different and unique personalities. They are not overly concerned if they please their owner or not. There in lies the difference between a cat and a dog. A dog will go out of their way to please and get their owners attention. You can train a dog and he/she wants to do good because the dog wants to please you. Dogs are very lovable and trustworthy companions. I like both so for me it would be hard to decide if I had to chose between the two.

i really love cats. they are more cuddly because they are smaller than dogs. sleeping beside a cat is not a problem when it comes to bed accomodations. hahaha. they also clean themselves and you don't need to bathe them as frequently as dogs since dogs easily become stinky. cats are also easily toilet trained, and easily toilet trained than a dog.

Dogs require a lot more attention and work than cats. However, dogs seem to be more fun and are willing to do anything to please their owner.

Well, i love both of them. But I prefer dog as a pet. Because it's told in many magazine that cat's hair is not good for woman and can affected the woman's condition when she's pregnant. Also dog is more gentle and they don't have sharp claws, their behaviour is better than cats too.

Dogs are way better compared to cats. As you said, kittens are cute when they are as they are. Cats are also cute, but are really the guiltiest culprits ever. They steal milk from the kitchen, if you were a bit careless. They hunt a mouse and pour their blood on your floor, if you let them loose. Dogs don`t have any such habits. They are very obedient, faithful, and always the best. Well, for one thing, cats can be considered not-a-menace..... They have clean habits like digging up and doing their job, and covering it up...lol
