Or have you thought about ringing the Samaritans? They are people at the other end of a line trained to 'listen' I have used this service myself twice and have found it very comforting and helpful, knowing I can talk to a stranger about my troubles and how low my life has got. Just having someone listening to me makes the world of difference. It is a truly wonderful service and I am so grateful they were there when I needed them most.

Yes, I have .. !! And a very nice man he was too .. he was able to help me sort out the difficulties I was in .. he was wonderfully friendly but not gushy or patronising .. it really did change everything for me .. in fact I was so impressed I even did a few hours voluntary work for my local Samaritans to kind of 'pay back' my debt to them .. I didn't speak to anyone as you have to be trained before you can do that .. but I was an excellent coffee girl and was happy to sit with they guys who were doing all the work and keep the company for a few hours ... I would never hesitate whatsoever to use the service again if I felt I was getting out of my depth with problems .. in fact just knowing they are there helps me when I am having a really bad day ..

I did once when I was only young as I was having a tough time at school. They were wonderful. It has helped just knowing that should I need it, the service is there.

I have never heard of this but I think it a good thing for you to share this information. Sometimes there is noone to listen or some people have noone and this is a wonderful service. Its a great thing to let everyone know.

I am a good listener too, and when I used to work on the telephones I would listen to peoples problems and I didn't work for the Samaritans, sometimes you don't need to talk or respond, just by sitting and listening to someone, and them knowing you are there for them, helps a great deal
