The Media is manupilating people?

It has been done. They are still doing it. And will keep doing it? Why does the media only brings up issues that have nothing to do with the current situation of my own country? The more you watch tv and news, it seems I don't know sh*t about Canada. All they yap about is, this bombing happened in Iraq that fker is making a nuclear weapon in Iran, Indian people doing well in the computer industry and Canadian people sucking up to Americans? Pardon my french there. If you keep showing the same thing over and over again, even its a lie? People are going to start believing it. I see only violence being paid attention to when discussing about other countries and really nice, touching stories when it comes to Canada and America. For example, this past wednesday there was a stabbing incident in the Rideau centre Mall, Ottawa, Canada. Never heard anything about that on the news, But I did hear something about another killing in some third world country. The reason I am yapping so much is that I don't believe that living in other countries like Iraq, Iran etc etc would be as bad as the media makes it seem like. And the media should pay more attention to my own country, And leave the poor fkers alone. I would like to request all the people from different countries give their opinion on this particular issue and also like to say something in french to the media people which I am apologizing for already. " Stop!@#~!#@ing BullSh#@!ing people, please and thank you! A$$@#!es"

I think the media will continue to manipulate people as long as they listen. If they can get people to listen, their ratings will go up and they won't look so stupid if something turns out to be false because everyone will have believed what they said so much, they won't be so disturbed if they can say one or two things that really disprove it because they'd probably think it was some sort of cover up.

yep.i agree, too. for as long as peole listen to them and even believe in them so much, they won't stop doing such things on tv. sometimes, they love to see their ratings go higher because they know that they can get more attention from their televiewers when reporting such mind boggling news! i hope media will change their style for the better. but seems to be really impossible these days, huh?

i do have the same thoughts like you. i am from the philippines and the media seems to be so inlove with reporting "bad news". i mean, there are nice stories to tell, too. within 24 hours of living in this earth per day, there are also beautiful stories to share. but sometimes, for "some" media people, good news isn't news for them. maybe because they get lesser attention from reporting good news compared to reporting such scary, negative news on tv. but i hope i get to see more good news on tv as well. sometimes, they just focus so much on how bad the country is. and when the president has done something right, they still look and dig in further for negative issues rather than being thankful that atleast something right has been done. crab mentality will never make everybody happy.
