I mean the one you used almost a whole box of tissues while watching, kept crying for a while after it was over, really depressing SADDEST movie. Convince me this is the one to see or rent.

Imitation of Life. Great Movie but there were two versions. The one in Color and the earlier version in Black and white.

And the Pursuit of Happyness is another tear jerker. Sad in the beginning but happy tears at the end.

The saddest scene from a movie for me was Old Yeller(and I am NOT that old) and will still shed more than a tear or two for it.

For me the saddest movie I ever saw was Ghost. I cry everytime I see it. Its sad because you know how much the girl loves her man and then he is killed. Its really hard for me to explain but it breaks my heart every time. Then when she is able to communicate with him through the psychic, its happy and sad. I'm happy because she is able to communicate with him but sad because he can't be there with her. Then in the end, he has to leave again. I know I didn't do a good job explaining it but if you have not seen this movie, I think its a good one to see.

That is a hard thing for me to do as I am very sensitive person. I cry at almost anything. I think the one that I cried the most at lately is "fried green tomatoes". I really dont remember why though. I dont watch too many movies

"The Notebook"..my criteria for considering a movie as a sad one is when you think about it after you've seen it and you still cry over the images or the subject matter of the movie. A tearjerker for the movie "The Notebook" is the thought of not giving up on the one you love until finally you have her, but then, after you've gotten her, there's this situation you are faced that tests your love for her everyday. FYI, the movie is like Adam Sandler's movie "50 First Dates" but with a serious treatment. it's not amnesia but alzeimer's that the leading man has to deal with, as it is what afflicts his wife. The movie shows the story of how they came together. Knowing the history of their love affair is what would make the viewer understand the difficulty the husband goes through everyday he sees his wife. BUt then, if it were love it shouldn't be difficult, right? Well, the movie makes the viewer feel that that is not all true.

One of my favorites is "Stepmom" with Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. Obviously, there is a stepmom involved, and the exwife is dying of cancer. There is especially one line in the movie that gives me goosebumps...Stepmom says.."My biggest fear is that every moment I'm with them, they'll(the kids) be wishing I was you." (or something like that) their mother says "and my biggest fear is that they won't." It's such a sad movie...I can't imagine going through that..and then of course they (mom and stepmom) end up "friends" by the end.

I got 2 : "The passion of the Christ" for obvious reasons and "A.I" (Artificial Intelligence) is a story about a robot children that you could easily mistake for a real child. It is so heart breaking when he has to leave the family who adopted him , he spends all his "life" looking for his mom but the saddest part to me was at the end when he can revive his mother's memory but only once ... it is just so sad ... his never ending love for his mother ....OMG tears are even coming right now from remembering that movie ... If you wanna cry, go get it ... a ver very moving movie

Have you ever seen The Power of One? While it is just one sad thing after another for poor PK, he just keeps trying. This movie is long and is set in South Africa, so you may find some of the scenes hard to take.
