Computers! Did you buy yours or did you build it or do you use someone elses?

I actually had mine bought for me. I used to have a PC but my ex partner was well into Mac's I got a brand new Mac for one Christmas but when we split I had to pay the money back! I don't remember where they got it from, online I think. The only computer I have purchased myself was from a friend who built the PC from scratch!

My first computer my brother built for us. We didn't have one until 2000. He sent it to us in the mail. Shocked us. It was great although had some issues. We finally upgraded a couple of years ago and bought them. By this time he'd moved down here and he upgraded his computer. He did not get a new monitor, mouse or keyboard with his manual upgrading but he did have a better video card and he spent more then we did for the whole computer with everything and we had a better DVD burner. He wasn't too happy at seeing that. He stated now he can't really afford to build his own because the parts are more expensive then buying the full thing where it used to be cheaper.

Well at some point I would like to have one buil for me, but the one I use now was/is being purchased from rent a center. This way I get free service for anything on this computer.

i bought mine from Dell. it is a laptop. i do not think i could ever build one from scratch.

I bought mine for pretty cheap, and then continued to upgrade it. It's pretty much a completely different computer now. That's one of the reasons I like PCs, because of their customizability. Also, if you know your way around a computer, it can be cheap and easy to build your own.

I bot 10 computers in a store, to put up a internet cafe! But it is ok if you build from a scratch, i think you can save a little money from the scratch??..

I buy my computer in packages so I can reduce the prices I think you can built it from stratch but It will costly you more. that was your choice, your money. :D

Our computor has been built from scratch but of course not by me but hubby. lol He also fixes others computors so could say he knows what he is doing. He sometimes goes to the "swap" store and buys parts cheaper but guess it won't be me who says "hey I made this!" lol

I use my sister's computer. She bought this one at Walmart.

I bought it from Staples. I'm not smart enough yet to make a computer by myself or even with a little help. That's why I just like to buy the whole computer put it together and get it hooked up and run it.
