It is fairly easy to pick out the very young and immature but after that almost imposable. Do not make the mistake of trying to judge a persons age by there proficiency in English. It depends upon the question. I say usually no, a person may sound mature and be of young age. It is also possible that older people are still immature in their responses. If the answer to the question like how long have you been married then you can tell the age or close to it.

It is possible but not 100% accurate. The way a person express himself or herself in writing shows maturity. The other one might be the level of english used. I'd say an adult tend to give a more quality response compared to a minor. The minor will vent his or her emotions, feelings right away and directly.
