Is Earth doomed?

How long do you give humans, as a race, before we completely destroy our planet? We hear all about global warming, toxic wastes and over-population, but does anyone think about the long term of what we are doing to our planet? If you don't know that we are destroying the Earth study golbal weather patterns, the changing ocean currents and the recent rise in the global average temperature.

Honestly, I don't think we can time something like this. Sure, we are slowly killing ourselves and everything around us, but the Earth is a pretty strong thing. It has had to start over several times...and the good news is at least humans may not be around to have to start over...lol.

That's how i feel. it'd be interesting to be able to see what came after humans, and if they've fared any better at taking care of the planet than we did. And have done. Thanks for the response!
