Do you think it is better to give or receive from your spouse?

I am curious as to what people think of this with Valentines coming up I am looking for that special something to give to my better half,because I love to surprise him with things i am always making him little thingsand he sems to like it he gets me a gift but he spoils me he always lets me have what i want if we can afford it he is sweet.So whatis your thoughts?

I actually think both. When you give something, especially something that your 'other half' wants, you do get something in return, such as seeing that happiness. Also, when receiving that gift, it also makes you happy. Actually, probably the best gift to each other might actually be that night out together for Valentine's Day.

I never quite thought of it like that I usually make it an interesting day by hiding little hints and clues where he can find them and he has to keep asking what is this for so I enjoy doing different things like that after you been married awhile the zing can get lost. LOL thank you for sharing.
