What is meant by 'referral' on mylot???

What is with this 'referral' thing on mylot....i dont understand a thing !!

Hi, Assume Aishwarya Rai is your girl friend, and you want her to join Mylot. So when you send her a email asking her to join mylot through your URL (it is on the left side, on your domain page below your ID), and if Aish becomes a member of mylot through your URL, Aish becomes your referral.
You can also enjoy 25% of Aish's earning, for referring her.
