Are the American Idol Judges Harsher this year?

I personally think they are too mean this year! Especially when simon said that one kid looked like a monkey.say what you want about their singing its their job to judge. but to be out and out rude and start personal attacks. has gone too far

You are right. The judges are there to judge their singing ability not to insult a person about their appearance. Especially Simon, he needs to stop doing that. That is why he needs a body guard everywhere he goes. He better watch out, one day someone is going to slap that nasty mouth of his.

I think they are mean, but that it is necessary. Its amazing what type of people come out to tryout, people with no experince whatsoever and with no talent. If the judges were nice, they would keep coming back next year.. hopefully if the judges tell the truth they can realize they have no future. The physical insults on the other hand, funny but sort of too mean :]
