i saw this today, yesterday and day before yesterday.. and since a few days.. more than one discussions posted (on the first page), had the similar topics, at times they had the same topics but were asked differently.and not surprisingly, one of them had a 100 responses, while the other is just a recently posted one with barely 1 or 2 responses... like the discussions on sudoku! obviously it seems to be a co-incidence once or twice, but if i see that everyday, i feel maybe we r running out of ideas, and people tend to be "inspired" from the successful discussions, and try to start off the same discussions with slight changes here n there.. do you think this is fair??? or is this just a figment of my imagination?

it does happen sometimes that a similar thought comes to different people....but not always. and today i actually saw that people are copying discussions using different headings. there was this discussion that talked about job v/s self employment ....and there was another one with same details.....word to word!! i was amazed...and shocked. the person who copied obviously lacked the ability to change the content. but i'm surprised that mylot did not notice this..... i wanted to mark the second(the one posted later) as spam...but my computer gave way.....power failure....darn it. hope whoever reads this and finds the discussions, reports it to mylot.

yes similar ideas do come to our minds, i ve experienced that myself.. but sometimes the similar discussions are too similar and are posted one after the other.. thats when it seems fishy! plagarism shows! hehhe.. anyways.. this is just another thought that came to my mind, and i love to share my thoughts here and take everyone's opinion! thanks for your response!

I think that it is possible that we all have ran out of ideas because of repetitions of the same topics over and over again.

No it is not a figment of your imagination. I have seen so many discussions on the same subject with little or no variation. I think one reason is that they fail to do a myLot search on the topic subject before posting. That is the main reason that I very seldom post. I like to respond on others postings and on some of the comments others have made in that posting. Most of my discussions have brought forth very few responses so I have just about given up the ghost. The positive side of few responses is that I have fewer responses to comment on which has made it possible for me to comment on every single response that has been given.
