Splitting bill with my boyfriend.. whats wrong in going Dutch?

whenever i go out with my boyfriend i split the bill into half..... it think it is better other than on anniversary or any special occassion.... my friends say that its not correct, but i prefer going dutch with him....

Oh come one.both of you should pay.You must not depend always to your man to pay for all.He do a lot to ear money.You should pay also sometimes.dont be too social.females should pay for men also

That is so nice of you but there are times that men just love to pay for you. I guess it is a way of taking care of you. I know that when I was still dating my husband he would be insulted if I pay half the bill when we go out. If I be the one to ask him to go someplace or watch a movie...I will tell him in advance it is my treat. Sometimes, we have to take into consideration that our bf's got money to spend all the time.

well true....and thats why on special occassions i allow him to pay.....but like idf we just catch up then i ask him to gop dutch.. though he doesnt appreciate it yet he knows and understands my outlook.... anyways ego doesnt play any part

I prefer having a man pay. I think when I am in a relationship with a man that I do enough nice things like cooking dinner and so on. He should pay. It is his way of saying I enjoy my time with you. You are worth it.
