Is computer is harmful to our eyes?

Hi friends, what all of u think is continous work in computer is harmful to our eyes and if yes then what is the solution to keep our eyes fit while using computer?

Well, purchase a screen saver (The tangible one, not windows screen saver) it will reduce the risk I think at least 50% also if u can then have suitable glasses, but I think in presence of screen saver there is no need for any other thing

I really don't feel so, Because i am using computers from last 8-10 years without LCD & without a Eyeglass even for 7-10 hrs daily. I never feel any problem for my eye, but when i drive i just can't drive without a Eye Glass..

my suggestion, write a sign that says "DON'T BLINK YOUR EYES!", and put it right just above your monitor. tell me if it doesn't work. ?

u can use spects, there are many types. and i see some filters for the crt monitors. but its also not good to be on the computer always with out reason.

if you are using a CRT monitor you should rest your eyes for 2 minutes for every hour you work but if you use a LCD this is not necessary.
