Would you ever audition for The Biggest Loser?

I heard they are doing auditions already for the next season of The Biggest Loser. Would you audition or are you a chicken like I am? I want to audition but I do not think I have the personality that they would be interested in and I don't want to set myself up to be excited and hopeful .. only to be disappointed in the end. What about you?

They recently held auditions in my area. I couldn't do it, simply out of embarrassment. I don't know why, because I find the people on the show to be a huge inspiration, but the truth is, I am so ashamed of my weight, I would be too humiliated to be on the show, as much as I, and the viewers, might benefit from my experience. I have just recently overcome my embarrassment enought to go to the gym without caring what I look like, that was a big step for me, and I've also lost 40 lbs so far, so I guess overcoming that fear was a big help!

Good job! Keep up the great work and before you know it - you'll be looking at a new 'you' in the mirror! I wish you all the luck in the world :)

Thank you! And remember, you don't need a tv show, or a personal trainer, or a chef to to make the changes you need to lose weight! It's such a hard struggle, but I'm more than halfway toward my goal without any of those things, you can do it too!

I don't know if I'm big enough to be accepted on the Biggest Loser. I need to lose 40 lbs, which is a lot, but do you have to be a certain amount over weight to be accepted? It would be great to have a personal trainer I'll tell you that much! Now, my aunt...I really wish she would try out for the show. She has to lose a mass amount of weight, and I think it would be really good for her to have somebody breathing down her neck everyday. She's dangerously over weight, and really needs to do something soon.

Thanks a lot! :) I'm working with my aunt right now, and I hope she finds a way to lose that weight. I just want her to be healthy you know? She's the best. Good luck with losing your weight as well. It's a shame they don't provide public services that could help people who can't afford personal trainers. Some kind of public program would be great don't you think? If our, or maybe mine (not sure where you are from), care about people being over weight so much then why is it so expensive to keep in shape? lol

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. You could be my niece, I imagine, with that response. I'm sure my niece and my family feel the same way. I wish I had the willpower to make the change and stick to it. Would be so much easier if I could afford a personal trainer who wouldn't let me give up and a personal cook that would make it easy to stay on track with my eating of healthy foods at the right times of the day. Thanks for your reply and I wish you much luck in losing the 40 pounds you want to lose.

I did audition for the second season. I went down to an open casting call in my area and waited in line for a few hours and got put in a group interview. They told us that they would be making call backs to the people they wanted to do individual interviews with to come in the next day. I never heard anything more. I was going to go back down there for the last audition but it got closed down for some reason and I couldn't go back the day they reset auditions for. I would go again. I basically go into it with an open mind. Also, it is not necessary to be on the show to lose weight. It'll just take a bit longer to do it on your own.

You know what? I reckon just the experience of going for it might be fun. have a go with no expectations then you have nothing to loose (sorry, no pun intended). It would be better to say "i auditioned for that show but i didn't get anywhere" than to say "I'm too chicken to try" Besides, they want all diferent people not just people with a certain type of personalities. That would get a bit boring. Go on, be a devil, have a go. And good luck ya big loser! LOL

I wish that I could audition. Cause sometimes I don't think I can lose the weight on my own. The extra support would be great!!

I would if they would let me wear my own choice in clothing. There is no way I would get up there in mixed company (even if not on television) and present myself so immodestly attired. I just could not do that.

NO, because first off I don't have the reason to be there. I am not fat at all. I weight 110 lbs at 5'2" height right now so there's no reason to be there. However if I was extra big, I will definitely try my luck. You will also be instant celebrity right? hahaha.. I want that feeling to be known and be recognized by other people.

I wouldn't for 2 reasons. #1) I do not ahve enough weight to lose to qualify. #2) I could not be away from my kids for that long, especially not my 5 week old baby.

I'd like to, God only knows I need it but I'm not sure I'd have the courage to do it. I'm a bit shy. Plus the fact that you are away from your family for awhile. I still have young children and I'm a single Mom so it's out for me.

I really want to be on the biggest loser show, Last season they had the home people lose weight, they were given all the "tools" to help them lose, I just started a new job and only have 5 days vacation, so that is what is stopping me.

Is this the weight loss show? I've never seen the show. But if it's something you want to do, you should go for it. Those reality shows look for all types of personalities. It certainly can't hurt to fill out the application!
