I know most of us work because otherwise our expenses will not get paid and we have families to support. But what if you don't have to worry about the money, will you stil go out to work?

If money weren't an issue for me, I would quite my job and let someone else have it, someone who needs it. I would then stay at home to spend time with kids. Or I would start to carry out my dreams which is to travel around the world and go site seeing.

Yes I would Hopeful as I am now on Disability and I really miss my Job. There is times still I get so down about it that I don't even want to come on here. I have been working all my Life up until 3 years ago. I got bullied out of my Job that I had been at for 8 years because of my Illness, through that I got worse and my Doctor said I will never be able to work again. And I miss it I really do, so I guess even I did have no worries about Money I would still work.

I wish I have the words to comfort your sore heart. I have often wondered at the lack of compassion of this world for the weak, the poor, the helpless and the disabled like yourself. It's everyone for himself and everything is seen in terms of money, money and more money. Hugs for you gabs.

I do not go out to work as my older son has special needs so I need to be available especially at tea-time, but I am planing on working from home at some point.

That's perfectly understandable, for any loving mother to do. Hope you will be able to earn enough money from work at home jobs to support your family.

I think i will still go out to work. Work will be more fulfiling if viewed as not only a means to put food on the table, but as something that fulfills you and as part of your growth as a human being. i would love to work not beacuse i have to, but because i chose too. of course, if i didn't have to work, that would mean that i can choose the kind of work that i would do. money not being the primary motivator for work anymore, i can focus on work that fulfills me that at the same time, helps others. if everyone can do work because they choose to and not because they are forced by circumstances, i bet resignations and employment turnovers would be pretty low.

I would love to be able to do a job just because I like it and it is fulfilling rather than because of the money I get from it. I agree with you on this. Right now I am having a headache because my job is not paying enough and my monthly expenses especially my apartment needs to be paid up without fail.

probably not... I think I'd quit and let somebody else have my job who needs it more.

If I could feed my family without going to work every day... NO, I would not. I would prefer to spend my time volunteering for causes that are meaningful to me.

Sounds like you have a giving spirit. Wish there were more people who would do that, especially those who are financially comfortable. The world will be a better place.

yea, i think i would still go to work. it depends on why i dont have to worry about the money, if is because someone else is paying, then ill go to work to help that person out. if is because they are hooking me up with everything, i would go to work to give my wife some spendings and for my kids.

If I don't have to worry about money, I'd rather stay at home and look after my kids and spend quality time with them.

Good thought! Many children do not have the luxury of parents spending enough time with them.

God has blessed my husband with a good job. I am a full time mommy, wife, homemaker. I work for the Lord now. I share God's Word whenever i have a chance. And i am thankful for sites like this, where i can do this, and get a little in return. But thinking about it. I would go back if that is what the Lord wants.

If I have enough money and didn't have to worry about expenses being paid, I think I'd rather do some type of volunteer work where I could be doing some good for the community. I'd have to have something to do with my time and it would be nice to be able to do something worthwhile that would make a difference to some people.

I'm glad that you are also for making contribution to the less fortunate people. Life would be more meaningful if we give more of ourselves. Bless you.

For myself, to just sit at home all day and doing nothing productive will be a nightmare. I hope life will still be lived fruitfully.

I stay with my parents, And I'm a college student. I study as well as earn my pocket money as my parents cannot afford to pay all my expenses. So, I give tuitions in the evening after my classes and earn some pocket money out of it. I personally also don't wanna depend on my parents completely. They are already doing so much for me. And God has given me many abilities so Why not make use of it in the right way?

I would probably volunteer or spend more time doing "my " work-- working on a novel. I would also probably homeschool my kids, which I may start doing anyway. But if money were no object, my husband could stay home and homeschool with me and we could travel with our kids-- now THAT would be a wonderful life!

If i still had young children, then i would rather stay at home but if my children were all grown up, I think i would either work part-time/volunteer/help out at the local school or take up an evening class in pottery, art, photography and or sewing.
