Do you use coupons while grocery shopping? If so where do you go to use them IE a store that does double and triple coupons or any store. What type of coupons do you use? How much do you save on average and what was the most you saved? I think I saved over 100 on mine and only spend 23.15 in the end. I though that was pretty cool. What about you, or do you think it is a waste of time or too time consuming?

I think it was about three weeks ago the Baltimore Sunpaper put out a coupon for a free bottle of special K water. This is a new water that has a great flavor. I traded free cat food coupons for extra water coupons. When done I bought 39 bottles of the water and paid nothing. This more than covered the cost of the eight papers that I actually bought that week. I also bought six papers two Fridays ago at fifty cents a piece and had six coupons for $5.00 off a $5.00 purchase at staples. That $2.50 that was spent made me $30.00 in office supplies. The only thing that I never save on is meat. When Weis was doubleing $1.00 coupons it was nothing for me to go in there and spent $3.00 for five or six bags full of frozen food, side disher, soap, shampoo, and much more. I love to save.

I use coupons all the time.If you know how to use coupons correctly they are definately not a waste of time.I always try to match my coupons with what's on sale already....plus I try to use the 50 cents off or less at stores that double the coupons. My bf's son(21 years of age)went to the store with me here recently and when we got to the checkout my total came to about $30.After I scanned all my coupons the total I was left with was only about $4.He looked at me with such surprise and said"WOW....you got all that for only 4 bucks? I didn't know you could do that!" He has asked me since then to teach him how I do my shopping and I'm glad that I get to pass this on to someone. Some weeks I may not save as much as others....but if you total up the savings for one month....it comes to about $100 on average. I have a question for you as well....do you use other coupons besides for grocerys...such as dinning out?

If we go out to eat or just to drive through we use coupons. Otherwise we would not go. I try to save money wherever I can. I only work seasonaly and I own my own website so I have to scrape and pinch where I can.

YES!!! I use mine at Winn Dixie, Publix and our commissary, I also get coupons JoAnn's and Michael's craft stores. On average we save from $10 to $20 a shopping trip. I am working hard to get to the point that I save like I used to when I was saving $30 to $50 a trip. I love coupons and love shopping with them.

We do not use coupons, but we use the Kroger card when we shop there and it does save us alot of money compare to shopping at Wal-mart or somewhere else.

I use coupons however am not a brand name shopper and often find just as good product under the store name. We do price match and so that saves us money most of the time. If you are organized and are going to buy the groceries anyway then coupons are a good deal. Something that saves you money is worth investing some time in so that the money can be used in another area. We save only a few dollars with the few coupons that we use. Price matching saves us about 5 or 10 dollars at a time. Good luck with this. You have a good start already.

I used to work in Albertson's and when they had the double and triple coupons days, women would come out of the woodwork! I was amazed that they could get a hundred bucks of food for 25 bucks after coupons! I am not that talented with coupons! But I wish I were!

I use coupons all the time. The amount I save depends on what I need and if I have coupons. The past week I didn't need all that much. I think I got 30 items and saved $5.20 with coupons. Where I shop deosn't double them, but they discount the products.

I am so bad, I do not use coupons, but I should. I think it is a great idea to do, and thanks for posting this.

I used to use coupons. But then it got to the point that the coupons were things that I did not normally buy. It was ask if I had to buy the more expensive item to be able to use the coupons. My partner seems to think that is how they get you to buy their brand when you would normally buy another brand and you really aren't saving when compared to the other brand. LOL Did I confuse you? ha ha So, most of the time, I do not use coupons unless it is something that I already regularly buy.

I do use coupons a-lot. I subscribe to the grocerygame.com I shop at Hyvee for the most part on my groceries and buy some things at Walmart. Where I shop they don't double the coupons though I wish I knew of a place that did. I clip the Sunday coupons and I also purchase coupons on ebay from time to time for products I buy a-lot. The coupons I don't use that I have too many of like for instance I may end up with 20 coupons for the same item on ebay and I only use 10 I give those away at the local shelter I volunteer at. It does save a-lot and I think it is a wise investment of time to clip and gather coupons.
