i know some people read and respond and rate to their replies to their discussions but how many of you actually take advise or respond to or rate the replies you get to your discussions i used to try to reply to and rate as many as i could but now i find it hard as alot of my discussion get 20+ replies in a day and alot of them say the same thing... do you reply to your posts? do you rate them? or do you think it is too hard to do that with EVERY reply???

It's hard to do that with every reply, especially if you get alot of them. Me, I've asked a few questions and I've gotten not many replies to them so it's easy for me to rate and reply to them all.

i rate every single response I get, but I may not reply to everyone of them. if it's the 10th time i have had the same suggestion, i won't reply with the same thing I have 10 times already. LOL but i do make sure i rate everyone and I do READ them all, too.

Yes I take the time to read my replies and rate them I also try to go back to discussions that I have replied to to view their response it can be time consuming but I think that is how it should be rather than just posting heaps and not actually caring enough to come back to read what they thought of your response.. It can be annoying and dissapointing when you see they haven't made the effort to respond or rate to your response it makes you wonder do they really care?

I do my best - but often I have to leave it a few days and come back and do them on a weekend. Because the majority of users here are from the States and I am in the UK, it means most replies come in when I am fast asleep, and I can't necessarily go into MyLot every day beause of my job - so I tend to save them up and do it over the weekend, - but - yes I do try.

I know exactly what ya mean cuz i am in the UK too and sometimes i will come on here and find 50 responses to a discussion then i feel totally screwed to reply to them all lol

I try to read all the responses for my postings and rate them. Sometimes, the responses would be overwhelming, making it difficult to read and rate them immmediately. It may not be practical to comment on every response, but I try to do that for remarkable responses.

I think that nobody really does that. I always read my replies, but only on rare ocasions I make replies or ratings. This is, because I don't have time or "power" to reply to everyone.

If I start a discussion, I do read and rate every reply. I go back after a bit of time has passed and mark best responses in most (unless they didn't catch on and generate more than one or two responses). I also respond to many people, simply because I'm interested in the discussion (or I wouldn't have started it LOL) and I like to know what others have to say. I think it would be awfully dull if all we did was open discussion after discussion and have a string of disconnected replies, with no one actually commenting to each other. Good online communities have people who are interested in driving quality content that will make the site productive and valuable (and, in the case of myLot, revenue generating).

i always keep track of my disscusions, and read new replies. some of the disscusions i started got few responses which was easy to read, rate and reply, others got an average number, so i tryed to keep up with the comments to the responses, but i also had some with a great number of responses. at first was a little hard but i had managed to read and comment to almost all of them. then i went to sleep and when i woke up i just couldn't keep up with making comments to the responses. i do read though and rate each of the people who take their time and respond to my disscusions. i think this is the least i could do for them since they took time and shared their opinion with me, rate and read their opinions

I try my best to rate/mark responses to my postings. But I confess that a lot of work on that is always pending. But I love the idea of going back there and finishing it as soon as possible.

I don't read and rate EVERY reply to my posts, but I do rate almost all of them and reply to the posts that interest me or ask questions of me. It isn't that its too hard, it is just that it really doesn't seem worth it.

Maybe you should devote a certain time just for the replies of your discussion and reply/rate them as thoroughly as you can. Don't post, just read, rate and reply.

I think it's too hard to reply to every post. I'm not doing often discussions here...I don't have the time to always rate all who write in my discussion. mylot is a place to have fun for me in my free time. It's funny to earn too...but definitely not...I don't reply all!

i read, respond every single one of my replies and it sometimes takes me hours lol. I work on this logic, If someone has the curtesy to bother to reply to my discussions i think i owe them a response, guess its just manners and the way i was brought up, blessed be

I always try to reply to the responses I have received as well as rate them, but I don't post many discussions so it's quite easy for me to keep track of the few responses I get. Although mylot advises against giving 'thank you' replies to responses, I still like to because I think if a person has gone to effort of replying to a discussion then saying thank you is a common courtesy (although I do try to bulk my responses out a bit more). But if you get lots of responses every day I can certainly see how it would be difficult to respond to each one, I do think it's important to rate each reply though and that would always be my priority if I was short on time.

I do reply especially when the answer is good. But sometimes I can't really keep track of every topic I've posted.

I find it hard to mark a reply as the best. Many times there are answers very smiliar for me also. I guess whichever one you find the best personally for you is your answer for best answer.
