oh yes! Hotel California is my Theme Tune. I even have a plaque stating that my home is "Hotel California" even though it is a one bedroomed appartment.
Witchy Woman, Peaceful Easy Feelings and Take it to the Limit also get my senses reeling. To be honest though there are very very few Eagles tracks that I do not like.
Do you actually know what the lyrics of Hotel California are about though? I have read several articles and nobody seems certain. I just feel it is a lovely far away place similar to Brigadoon, a plane that we can enter and stay, even though I know it was supposed to be based on a real Hotel where there were some rather eccentric goings on!

were you any the wiser after reading the meanings? I read somewhere that even the Eagles are not too sure exactly what they meant lol. However, I have this image of this surreal, forever partying, happy place and that is what I think of whenever I hear the song.

yeah the lyrics supposedly have inner symbolic meanings!! i saw this site some time ago which gave the whole meaning of the lyrics...

My all time favorite song by them is The Last Resort. We have a video of them in concert and I could watch Don Henley sing this over and over he is great. I don't much care for Joe Walasch in one of our videos he appears to be loaded out of his goar. I find the lyrics in The last Resort to be extremly touching.

I love the last resort, it reminds me of Huntington Beach, where I use to live. There IS a sign on Warner Avenue on a church and this is a neon sign also it says "Jesus is Coming" They also laid the mountains low, they called it paradise, and all these phrases apply to Orange county, Now paradise is gone because they put up a bunch of ugly boxes!

Hotel California is certainly an excellent song but it's not my favorite song simply because it is everybody's favorite song. I will have to think back and try to remember which song I liked better than the others. They are so excellent and I have a hard time picking my favorite although I was always partial to "Tequila Sunrise". That will have to do, for now.
