The associated press reported today that the IRS is giving tax payers till April 17th to file their taxes. This seems to be due to the fact that April 15th falls on a Sunday and the 16th is Emancipation day.

I think that this isn't the first time that the tax date has been extended till my birthday, lol. I couldn't help but notice this myself because of April 17th being the date of my birth! *laugh* And it's always nice to have a couple of extra days to get one's taxes taken care of. However, my family usually tries to take care of our taxes at least a month or two early, just to be safe. I feel a lot better doing this. But it is nice to know that I have some extra time, and I never forget when tax day is even when it is on the 15th of April simply because it is so near my date of birth, lol! ^_^
