I've got to show off my boyfriends work

My boyfriend has been into doing woodworking for a few years now. He made most of our Christmas presents last year. Well, he made a bed for my grandson that looks like a tractor. My grandson love tractors, so he got this idea to make him a bed so he will be more interested in sleeping in it. This is his first big boy bed. I think it turned out very nice and I want to share it with everyone. Please tell me what you think. Thanks. It was hard to get good pics as his room is small and he has a lot of other stuff in there.lol.

It is beautiful. I bet your grandson loves it. My husband is big into woodworking also. Your boyfriend has a wonderful talent.
My husband made our first bed out of walnut and we still have it 28 years later. Homemade is so much sturdier than a commercially bought one.

Yes, my grandson does love it. I forgot to add that under the hood is a toybox and there will be shelves inside the wheels for him to put toys or books on. Believe it or not, most of the wood he uses for it was from palletts. Its a very hard wood. Here is another pic.

That looks great! And for his first youth bed is awesome!
I best your grandson will love it! How many little boys can say they hve a tractor for a bed! :) One now! I bet a lot of little boys would love to have a tractor bed!

I bet he could make a Hummer if he tried hard enough. Then we could say that we owned one.lol. yes, my grandson loves it. He finally sleeps in his own bed now without any problems. Here is another pic of it.

That is an awesome bed that your boyfriend made as I can see that he is very good at woodworking and is very talented. I bet he is or could do very well making things like this bed as children would love to have a bed different than most others. Has he tried making fire engine beds or ambulance or police car type beds. I bet those would do well and sell a lot of those.

So glad that you have a handy hubby. That is cool for a young boy. It does make it great for him to sleep in his very own bed done up by pappy. How was the mattress and sheets and things done? Imagine hubby measures and built around the standard. Is that correct?

Wow, this is great, looks like something from trading spaces. He should just paint John Deere or something on it.
He could make a small fortune selling these things.

That is one COOL bed. Such talent, I know my husband would love this bed for our son. Brendalee, you got a keeper (your boyfriend) he is talented to say the least.

What an awesome tractor bed, Brendalee! Your boyfriend is truly talented. I'm sure that your grandson was on cloud nine when he saw what he got from you guys! What an amazing present. If someone put that much love and care and hard work into something that they made for me, I know that i would truly treasure it for a long time to come. ^_^

Wow! That's pretty neat! I bet your grandson loves it to pieces. I always admire people that can just think of something and do it. I can think of it or I can do it, but somehow never can figure out how to put the two together. Kudos for a well build bed!

That is amazing! What other kind of stuff does he make? He could earn extra money making and selling that stuff. There is big money in quality handicrafts.
That is a brilliant idea to make going to sleep in his own bed more fun and part of the game. I think your boyfriend is a keeper!

I opened your discussion because I thought that it was so sweet of you to show-off your bf's handwork! That's so nice. And he is pretty talented if I may add. Must be good to have him around. Your very own handyman. I also have one of my own. =)
