I'm beginning to wonder...

one of my big issues is that I'm really not much of a people person. Well, I'm great online or on the phone but I can't handle people on a personal level.. especially big groups of people... I've responded to a few discussions now that when I go to post my answer it tells me that I'm posting under people and do I want to add people to my list of likes... I always click no but know I've had to click it so often I'm wondering if I secretly do like people.. lol... or maybe it's just you people ;)

Hi imsilver, I find that i'm not very good with people on a personal level either, I'm ok one to one if I know the person, but if I'm in a group of people that I don't know very well then I tend to be a bit withdrawn and listen rather than make any conversation. I do suppose it's the type of people you are with too, I'm not overly keen on loud people.

with me it's loud people and stupid people. Drive me bonkers. Common sense.. alot of people just don't seem to have it.. lol.. and I know a few people who tend to play dumb for some reason and it drives me bonkers. I've got a woman I know who is really quite smart but when she gets around others (mainly men) she seems to dumb herself down.. i just don't understand. I don't mean to sound conceited but I really am bright and I just can't handle stupid people. And I'm not meaning stupid like unlearned I mean people who just don't seem to get it.. or someone you have to explain something to over and over. I'm a quick learning explain it once or twice and I'll pick it up.

I am like you. I don't really care for large groups of people. I think I am more comfortable one on one. there is less noise and I can concentrate on that one person. I think there is just too much going on in groups of people, it seems to chaotic to me. I like simple and quiet. I don't think it means that I don't like people because i really enjoy people, its just that I enjoy in moderation. I think as long as you are not a total hermit and you do get human contact there is nothing wrong.

I think I might be coming close to the total hermit way.. lol.. sometimes I can go days without seeing another adult (well.. except the bf) I've got a good friend here and we talk on the phone for over an hour every morning after the kids are off to school but even her I prolly see once a week if I'm lucky. And I interact with the school staff on a regular basis dealing with my children but other than that.. i dunno...lol...
