I use a PC that was originally assembled for me in 1999 by a company in the UK. Since then, I have actually changed (I velieve) every single component including the case itself, but for some reason I still consider it to be the same PC I bought way back then, but with upgrades I've fitted myself! Does that make sense? Nick

It is better to go for Branded PCs if one is new in the field of computers and does not have enough knowledge about PCs....Its better to go for DELL, because DELL gives great customizability and great customer support....In India the customer services from HP is really worst...so beware!!!! Otherwise its better to go for assembled....U have unlimited choice for configuring ur PC keeping ur BUDGET in mind....U can get the best parts for each purposes..... But ILL FATE....I am still stuck with my HP COMPAQ PRESARIO...it was my first purchase

I use assembled PC. I can custom the parts to suit my needs and usually it is cheaper then the branded one.

got to be assembled....we only very rarely buy in branded pc's for customers if they insist on them. Big problem we have with branded is when it's time to upgrade components(usually there's very little scope for upgrading) and branded pc's do tend to have customised motherboards which causes big problems with software re-installs as their rescue discs are always customised too.

I will pefer Branded PC because the company provide better after sale services and their is a assurance that whatever u are buying is genuine. As I don't know much about hardware so its better for me to go far branded PC.

I prefer assembled computer. It has many advantages. We can choose the parts of different companies which we know to be the best.I bought an assembled pc.It also provides the best quality of every accesory. We can choose the best brand and use it with other parts. It can also be bought at a less price. It is the main reason why many prefer asssembled pcs.

I used an assembled PC but all the parts & components are branded, like the HD, motherboard, CPU, RAM, etc. I guess for branded PC, you're just paying for the name but the parts and component are just the same for the assembled ones.

Only assemble because we can take the configuration as we like,if we take a branded one we could not get the configuration wat we want perfectly,so i always prefer assembled PC......

I use an assembled PC. No brand suits my requiremsts. So I had to assemble one for myself. I keep adding and replacing components as and when required.

My new one is a brand as my husband brought it for me ... I would have prefered an assembled one so I could pick and choose what I wanted in the box!

I would like to go with a branded computer.ut i do no know the details about all the components and therefore i am quite skeptical that i may get cheated and probably make a wrong choice. Therefore i go with a branded pc. After marriage i found that my husband purchased an assembled pc and it works very well.

My first PC is branded one .This works well but as always i have problem with the peoples in servicing the PC .They don't properly help me to PC management .So the next PC i purchased is totally assembled .This works very fine .Now i completely prefer assembled PC more than branded one .

Assembled... any day... Branded PCs are always a compromise... If you are good in computers and stuff... assemble your self.. otherwise learn to... if you are not interested... catch a friend who can do it for you... I personally am into computers... i can be that friend if anyone wants to buy a PC.. just gimme the budget and your intended use! :)
