What is your reaction for spilling of Coffee/Tea on your key Board?

One morning my oldest was on the computer before school. After she got on the bus, my poor computer started screaming! I ran into the room and turned it off to inspect it. Liquid came pouring out of my rather (ahem) expensive keyboard. I was not happy, and made my daughter replace the keyboard (albeit with a less expensive one) out of her allowance. I was more upset with the fact that she spilled the liquid on the keyboard and did not tell me than the fact the accident happened. In my opinion that was rude, and I told her so. Tried to clean the keyboard but by the time I discovered it the damage had been done. The soft drink had messed with the connections inside(sad sigh).

WHAT THE F... that's usually my initial reaction. well, that's been usually my reaction with everything. they are used to it somehow. ^_^

Well I only did that once and I was certain that the keyboard was not going to work again.

keyboard have been wasted

I have spilled on my keyboard, and it made typing weird, but quickly cleared up. But it was me fault, my maid servant had the day off. LOL!

This discussion came to my notice now. I will not react under such cirumstances immediately but I will be passing remarks at a later time.

Hi prasad, I am using computers from past 16 years. I never ever take food or drinks (including water) while I am on computer desk.

If I had a maid I would not be trying to earn dollars on mylot :D and to answer your question I would lose it if someone spilt anything on the key board.

Well, I myself have twice spilled drinks into my keyboard, it did ruin the keyboard! Since I got mad and ranted and raved at myself about it, especially the second time when I know better! I imagine I would be slightly upset about it.

My immediate reaction would be to clean it up as fast as possible, but I would still wander how I could get all of the wetness out. I would worry the keyboard wouldn't dry quick enough for me to start using it again immediately.
