Would you enter your child in a photo contest?

I did enter my daughter before when she was one year old,it was a baby photo contest for a mall with different branches for every province or city..she won for our city and was a representative for that month and got to compete with 12 other babies.well a lot of them are veterans already because the parents let their babies sleep first then when the judges came(they were so late) they were wide awake and showing off..well she didnt win,she was fast asleep and couldnt even look at the camera.but she did win a lot of prizes for being chosen as our city representative.

I haven't done it yet, but my DS is really cute and takes a great picture. I don't think I'd have a problem entering him, but I wouldn't do the pagent type thing. That's more for the parent than the kids.

I entered my daughter into one when she was six months old. She didn't win, but most babies are cute, so I imagine it would be difficult to judge. I didn't take it to mean she wasn't cute. lol! When she was three my dad entered a picture of her fishing to a fishing gear site and he won. They sent a t-shirt for each of them.

If they meet the requirements, I would submit photos of my kids in a photo contest. No harm in trying :) I have submitted a few, but never got to the winner's circle, however, my daughter was able to land a modelling stint for a local baby magazine.

I don't have a problem with it, I just never got around to it. My granddaughter was entered once by the studio that took her picture. She didn't win.

I entered a photo of my daughter in a christmas cutie contest in our local paper, She won us the first prize of a christmas hamper worth £100. It was the first time I had ever entered a photo contest so was delighted that the judges picked her. I can now say from my personal experience that these are not fixed, at least not in the area that I live.

I think I probably would enter if they wanted to do it. But they would have to be old enough to choose it themselves really, as I'm not sure its the sort of future career that I would want to encourage.
