what to say or do when

not o long ago my son came to and asked me ok told me he wanted me to quit smoking... he didnt want me to die.. what do you say to your child when they say something like that I told him that i was trying which is true, i would love to breath easier and i would be healthier if i did. but it is so hard,, I have not been smoking around him but he knows i am smoking. so what would you say if this would happen to you. or has it happend to you
