Be anxious for nothing , but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving , let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus -Phil4:6-7 When we give all our cares to Lord Jesus he gives us peace, so let us cast all our cares on him and have the peace of God in our heart.

I really have to agree with those beautiful words, Nancy. I worried to much when my son became autistic from the MMR shot and got cancer soon after that. If only I had just given all my pprobllems to God instead of worrying about them perhaps I would not have gotten sick.

Thank you for sharing this! This is something that I really had to learn recently. Some great words of advice taht I was told from a good friend of mine in the church said: When you are worried about something, say outloud, "God, you are in control. Thank you that I am not." God is in control of every situtation and we can sit and worry about anything we want - it's not going to change the ourcome. Thanks again for posting this discussion.

While I believe in the power of prayer, I know that God cannot take care of everything for everyone at the same time. While prayer can help calm you from time to time, it, unfortunately, does not make all of the stressors and worry just disappear. But then again, I am a follower only of the old testament. (I'm Jewish) We tend to handle things a little more on our own, but share great gratitude with God for what He is able to help us with.
