Vista comes in a few flavours, Basic, Ultimate, Premium.. and for Indian users and lightweight package called Vista starter, which is priced at a pretty decent price around 2k,if i am not wrong, but before you go over the moon, think about it, starter edition, will hav just the skelton of the Vista system, and many key features missing, so its much better to continue with your existing OS, if you have never bought an OS, ok you can go for this, also only Premium and Ultimate support the much Famed "aero" glass effects and 3d desktop features...

its around 500 $..............it has all latest features....and the chess game is 3D............. its excellent they have taken 5 years to develop this vista.........
