What is it that you're having a hard time with? Do you want to adopt or are you adopted?

today is my sons birthday and I gave him up for adoption.....I would like to know if any one else has been through this and what the easiest way to help me through this is...... I know time will heal all wounds but it has been almost 2 years and I am still really struggling with it because he was 2 when I gave him up for adoption.....

Whatever your reason is I understand. I think what you have to do is to find a job, earn a great deal of money and when the right time comes, find him. It is better to be late than do nothing about it. You can seat there and cry and do nothing or do something to change your lives. goodluck.

I am an adult adoptee. I feel for you. My own birthday is sad for me because I was given up on that day. I have feelings of grief for my missing relationship. That being said, I was given a precious family who adored me and took wonderful care of me. Your son is no doubt being well cared for, and you were very brave to make such a difficult choice. You will always be a part of him. Do something every year on his birthday that is postive and in honor of him and the life you gave him. Plant a tree, volunteer, let a balloon go, whatever makes you feel that you loved him in the best way you knew how.
