Have u watched the movie "Babel"? i have watched this last night. at first, it was kinda confusing and tiring. but it really gets interesting as it goes on. but i wish the ending was much more clear... there were some things left unexplained...

well, its basically about different cases of misunderstandings caused by language barrier. its full of drama and the ending is kinda a little sad.

I have not watched it yet. I might do when it comes on the movie channel, and might even rent it. Mind you, it might be the type of movie that my sons would like. They are into the confusing endings, thinking type movies. My husband is not and I try to find the hidden meaning or what the producer or writer was trying to say. I read the plot and it sounds like an anti official, anti government film, no matter what country it is, to me. So I am rather ambivalent to watch it since the only governments I hate are the Nazi and Communist governments of the past and making others believe that other governments are like them is wrong.

i dont know if its really anti-government. i think its not. it just shows the misunderstandings and troubles caused by having different languages and being able to understand each other. ^__^

I've also watched Babel and it really confused me when I was watching it because the time frame of the different stories are so confusing. Brad Pitt also had minimal exposure on that film, he was just placed there for promotional purposes I think.
