Stupid action by the boy while reading newspaper

Three days before(28th of Jan 07), i was read the newspaper at the barbour(hair cutting shop) for cut my hair. Suddenly one boy who had great gym body came to the hair cutting shop from other shop. He saw me and he was picked the newspaper from me and gone to other shop. I know the person, he also know me. I know he had big groups in his background who are all doing the rowdism in and round the place. I was sat down calmly on the chair. The shopkeeper also didn't shought him. I didn't made the quarrel in between myself and him because he is rowdy. was my actions correct? or i need to ask the reason for picked the newspaper from me. I think it is correct.
