why is my CAT barking?

my cat has been making these funny noises for a while now when she is looking outside (no birds around) she starts barking not meowing.. is this normal or dies she maybe have a cold

I've never heard of a cat barking. If you figure out why, maybe you can help me figure out why my rat terrier meow's. Seriously. Only when he's yawning thoough. LOL

Maybe she's seen a squirrel or blowing leaves. My Tabitha used to make strange noises when she sat at the window and watched squirrels outside. All of that was perfectly normal for cats. They "chirp" as they watch.

Hi there...cats make these chirping/barking sounds because they see something which makes them excited belief. However there is a scientific explanation for this behaviour as well. Scientists have noted that when cats chirp it is a mimicry behaviour to draw in birds and other animals so they don't appear as threatening in order to make it easier for them to catch their prey.
