Do you enjoy healthier versions of traditional treats such as Baked Ruffles, Baked Doritos or Baked Lays potato chips? They have a LOT less fat than the original versions and I think they are pretty good!

I like the Baked Lays very much but haven't seen Baked Ruffles or Doritos yet around here. I would buy them more often but it drives me crazy that they are so much more expensive than the originals. Plus there's not as much in the bag so, if we decide to splurge and have them with hamburgers or as a family snack while watching a movie, the bag definitely doesn't go as far. Although, I guess that's the point, right? ;)

I've noticed the same thing -- when we have the crowd over, I still buy the regular versions, too. The kids are all grown, though, so for around the house munchies, the bag is plenty large for my hubby and me!

I hate those baked chips. The best potato chips are the original Charles Chips....greasy and delicious. I have been on a Pringles kick lately though..... www.charleschips.com

I haven't had Charles Chips since I was a kid. Those were great! I didn't know they still made them -- I haven't seen them in years.

you can buy them over the internet if you go on their website. I see them in the store from time to time but they are tough to find.

I like the bake lays better. They taste pretty good especially the bar-be que flavored ones.

I'll have to try those -- so far I've had the plain (okay) and the sour cream & cheddar (great!).

I have tried every flavor of these baked chips and they leave a lot to be desired. I feel like I am eating a thin slice of carboard with a slight bit of falvor. I must be addicted to the salt and grease of the others. My favorites are just plain ruffles.

They take some getting used to, that's for sure!

The baked ones do seem to have more of a crunch to them and they seem less greasy than the fried ones. Personally, kettle chips are my all time favorites. I can't buy the big bags or I'll sit there and make a complete pig of myself.

I used to be the same way with the regular Ruffles sour cream and cheddar flavor. I'd only buy a snack sized bag once in a while because if the huge family sized bag was around, I'd eat the whole thing!

I try to eat healthy, so I do like the baked versions. The baked tortilla chips are fairly dry, though, so you definitely need a good salsa or dip for those!

I haven't tried those yet, but my husbane really likes tortilla chips and salsa. I'll have to get some next time I'm at the store.
