Anyone have the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 Digital Camera w/Leica 14-50mm Lens DSLR?

What do you think about it? Do you like it? Is it worth $2,000? I'm a bit concerned about a few things: 1. The availability of lens and the prices of more lenses 2. The shape of the camera, it looks a bit odd... I'm used to the Nikon shape, is this one easy to handle? 3. I know Leica makes great lenses and cameras, but what about Panasonic? Things I think I'll really like about this camera: 1. You get to actually use the screen, unlike most other DSLRs where you can only see the photo in the screen after you take it. I love the screen. 2. Lens quality 3. Sounds like it's easier to use than a lot of them out there and it has a lot of features but isn't bogged down by scene modes. If you have one and have some sample photos you've taken, please post those if you can! Even if you don't have one, know of some really good reviews? What do you think, would you buy it if you could save up $2,000? Should I just stick to Nikon since I already have a couple lenses?

I don't own this camera, but I felt the need to post as I do own a Panasonic point and shoot. It's an FZ 7. It has 12 X optical zoom, image stabilization, a 2-1/2 inch screen, and is 6MP. It has a great burst mode too. The cost is roughly around $300. I'm extremely happy with it, and for the money, I think it's a fantastic camera. I wouldn't spend the $2,000 as it was a tough decision to spend the $300 on myself (I'm a single parent). There's a site that reviews all cameras and they might have the one you want there. It's called steves-digicams.com He reviews every camera imaginable!! Hope this helps!! Happy Shooting :-)

Cool, thanks for the info! Yeah, the $2,000 is kind of turning me off. Plus the cost of additional lenses for that camera will be more than most. I plan to spend about $1,500 or so initially for a camera and one or two lenses. $2,000 is kind of above my limit (I'm just a college student!), but I'd spend it on something really worth it. I'll check out that site, thanks!
