Here's a weird question.

If you're taking a lie detector test, and you tell a lie, but you don't know you're telling a lie, does it still catch it? For example, let's say Bob is taking a lie detector test. Sally told Bob that her favorite color is blue. She lied. Her favorite color is really red. But during the test, when asked what Sally's favorite color is, Bob answers with, "Blue." Technically, that's a lie, but Bob doesn't know it. Would the detector know it? Probably not, but it's something to think about.

no it would not pic up on this because he himself believes it to be true. people have actually passed lie tests and lied on purpose. all they did was believe enough in what they lied about. it is do-able

No, because he's not telling a lie. He's telling what he considers to be the truth.
