Do you think that public schools should teach about homosexuality? I used to say no but when my two oldest 12 and 11 yr olds came home and was telling me that some of the guys and girls in the middle school think they are gay and bi, I changed my oppinion. Im just curious how other parents feel please this is not whether being Gay is right or wrong just simply should the school talk to children about this since there is homosexuality in the world.

I think in health or science class this should be discussed. Since homosexuality isn't a life choice, it's part of the person. I think it could aid them in understanding others, to accept anyone who is different, and more importantly if they have questions they can find the answers. Some kids can't talk with their parents about it and they need to find the answers.

i think it would be a good idea. maybe if people are more educated about it then they will be less racist against gay's and lesbians.

No, i would say it is our job as parents' educated on lifesyles and morals. It's the schools' duty to educated of health, social studies, math, english it doesn't pertian to thier education. They have couselors they can go to for delimas and such but as far as what it means to be heterosexual, or not I think I would want to be the one to explain this to my children.
