well.. I just discovered mylot a few days ago and I'm having a blast roaming around and getting to know everyone through their posts but I've found 2 things that are really starting to annoy the heck out of me and am wondering if its just me: 1)my biggest thing is people who post a question as a discussion topic and then when you open it you see a ? or simply a link to somewhere else. I feel that if you are going to start a discussion with a question you should at least let us know what YOUR answer would be preferrably with details as to why or a story to explain and for the links - i'm not going to click on just any old link.. i want to know what the page is, how you use it and why you think I should go there at least... 2)the other thing is people who reply just to say they don't know.. i mean.. if you don't know.. don't reply.. I figure those are people who are just looking to up their stats. I won't answer a discussion unless I think that I can really add something to it.. or if it's something that interests me but I don't know about it I'll say that and thank them for the information that they are shared with me. Other than that I'm having a wonderful time here.. and oh yeah.. referral links - yes or no??? I keep seeing that we aren't allowed to post them yet tons of discussions contain them...

Ooh, I really agree about "I don't know" type answers. Honestly, what kind of response is that? Makes it very easy to tell who is just trying to pad their post count, though...

I agree, hopefully the mods will catch those, which I think they are, and delete those posts.

i agree with both of your points. as for the referral links i believe that the mylot modirators delete them shortly after they are posted.

I wish that was true, April, but I've seen lots of referral "discussions" that are weeks old. I report them when I have the time, but I wonder if that is effective.

I dont know =P just joking lol, It bothers me too, just a simple 3 or for word heading and then a question mark when you open up the post, the problem is that people are still responding to these posts and so people are going to keep posting them, maybe if we boycotted them they would stop As for the referrals i believe you are not allowed to post unsolicited links, but if someone has asked for it then its ok, i might be wrong but thats what i have read.

I'm gonna agree with you on this one, it's so frustrating to see people put up a question, then do not add their point of view! If I respond the their discussion then I usually ask their point of view on it - however sadly most of them ignored as with quite a few they are really only posting for money and not really interested in what you have to say! I make a point of going back and thanking everyone for responding to my discussions (It's gonna take me all day today with one of my discussions!)
