I don't understand why people can't take what they dish out. They ask this nonsense question to feel good about themselves but when they get to read their see the results, they all get steamed up over our responses. What's wrong with you people?

There are some myLot members who don't know how to react politely when they see negative reply on the discussion they open. We should have to respect each other opinion because we are all entitled to it and not by arguing with them because they dont agree with our topic. This is a eye opener question you have jackie_mmm!

I agree... I wonder how many people actually think before they post something? Especially personal posts. I understand they want advice, but I wonder how many post just to get sympathy, and when they don't get it, then they get mad! I think though, for the flip side, that I have seen some responses that are just downright RUDE. And in that I would have to say that that is not always expected either. I just try to remember that everyone, including myself has a right to thier own opinion. And one opinion is no better than the next. When someone responds rudely, I just remind myself that it is just a response... and I try not to post STUPID stuff!!!!

You are so right hun, there are hundreds of stupid questions listed every day and just can't cope when people bite back. Most of us try to put together sensible questions and topics for discussion, shame these others can't take what they dish out.

thats a simple answer people only want to hear what they want to hear the truth does not matter your opinion does not matter to them if its not what they want to hear thats why some people don't have any real friends because they can't take the truth

I agree with you. Isn't that why people ask ?'s in the first place? To get honest feedback. Obviously people know that not everyone is going to have the same views as they do, they need to be able to accept that a different opinion isn't wrong it's just different.

I agree, it seems a bit strange when you see somebody asking for a comment on here then when they see some of the results they get a bit hacked off, I thought the whole idea of mylot is to get both sides of a discussion, if not then they should change the site to "Im always right alot", really sad I think. I only joined a few days ago and I love the site, I hope to be able to see both sides of my questions and those answering see my side as well, time will tell.

Perhaps its a sign of their immaturity. They asked a stupid question and I was probably bored to even replied to their question. Now don't blame me if what I said is against your principle. Besides, its them who asked a question to the general populace. If you don't want to receive a negative comment then don't ask a stupid question.

Perhaps they don't think they were stupid postings. What they posted are the best and the most quality discussion they can think of so they get offended when they get responses they don't expect. There are some postings though that I think the purpose was just to get people's attention and hopefully reply. I don't see any sense in posting "red or blue?" but the poster may see it differently LOL

Funny you should ask that question because yesterday I had a huge argument with my spouse, I know the questions is in regards to people's dicsussions in MYLOT, but it applies to the whole world. My husband gets pretty irate with me because I always use the stupid question card. He never thinks my stupid responses are amusing, although I find them quite appropriate. I think in general people what to hear they are right, that's what they expect to hear and when they don't it's UNACCEPTABLE.

I htink they are doing because they just want to get the rating to be improved and when others retaliate then they dont have the mind to get it... Then comes the ego of such people...

Well in my opinion the problem is not in them asking stupid questions, because they can think the same about what i do post. What i don't like is when they complain....people must have the right to respond to those posts they choose to, this is not obligatory. Anyway nice post, + rated for you
