the safest place for keeping money

i think our house is not the safest place to keep it....................but one of the safest place is the banks i think.........................but what you think is the safest place to hide other than bank

I have money in the bank but keep a good bit of it stashed around the house. It's in such obscure places that no one in their right mind would ever think to look in these places. I don't have a problem with banks but I want to go on a major shopping spree I don't want to have to wait for the banks to open to do so.
