Some various items that will take blood stains out of fabric (leave it to a nurse to know these!): hydrogen peroxide or milk or sometimes dampening the spot and sprinkling table salt on it...then rub. Hydrogen peroxide also works on any 'organic' stain besides blood...such as grass stains. Use coca-cola to remove oil stains from a concrete driveway or gargage floors: pour coke on and let it sit for a bit then rinse with water! Coke is also good to clean a toilet! Pour a can in, let it sit for an hour and then flush! It will remove stains from toilet bowls!

I did not know about the blood stain thing thank you! That would have been helpful to know when my daughter dripped her bloody nose all over my good jeans.

Use a little baking soda on your dishes to get subborn stains off. It works well on plastic, glass, and stainless steel. Soak your showerhead in boiled vinegar to clear all the holes of lime deposits. Use Dawn dishsoap on stubborn stains on clothing. Put directly on stain before putting in the hamper. Works especially well on grease stains. If you're out of air freshener, stick a bounce dryer sheet in blower vents of furnace. Smells wonderful. You can use a dryer sheet, too, to clean your shower walls.
