I Could Not Believe What This Man Was Doing

This is the kind of unconsious living that people all around us do every day. I have seen it too. Might be a good thing some communities are banning smoking. Bet they are the same ones to toss it out the window when driving. Too bad it would make such a mess to rid the world of one inconsiderate and dangerous person. Maybe we need to monitor the pumping a bit more.

If I was at that gas station and he did that I would take off so fast wouldnt even see me. Your right that is more then dangerous I cant believe no one said anything to him.

These people are crazy! They not only put themselves in danger but also those around him at that gas station! People like this have the mentality of, "It would never happen to me." And it is this mentality that can costs lives! I used to work at a gas station. And once a car caught fire right beside the pump. It was not a large fire...but still a fire. The procedure when this happens is to hit the emergency shut off to stop all pumps from pumping. I did exactly that! And called the fire station to make sure that it was under control. But people got angry! They wanted to finish pumping their gas because it was just a small fire! What??? The fire department has to clear me to turn the pumps back on! Sorry, but I either refund the remaining amount that they did not pump or they could wait until clearance. Like I said, people were very mad....but I was protecting them!

I can believe that. People like that are really dumb and are putting himself and others in danger. I know that it is dangerous, but... he really didn't care! Which is very inconsiderate.:( People like that should be punished for potentially harming others! :) I bet that would help!! LOL

Well obviously not, but it's a shame they are not just putting their own lives at risk. They could do it a hundred times with nothing happening but it only takes once for the 'dodo' to hit the fan. Things like that really make me wonder about the human race omg!!!!

I don't know but around here there are BIG no smoking signs on gas stations and I've never seen anyone smoke there.

He was not only endangering himself, but everyone else within a given radius of where he was. This kind of behaviour is totally insane and inacceptable. It would be worth making a complaint if this ever happens again, and hopefully the attendant will not only insist that he puts it out but also threaten to ban him from the station for any repetition of it.

yeah that is a very fine way to start a fire. Gas and fire of a lit cigerette he is crazy.

thats is true, it would light up a lot, but then again, Its only if it drops.

actually on Myth busters I saw they were testing to see if it was possible to blow yourself up by smoking, using a cell phone, or static electricity at the Gas pump . They did several experiments and the only one that actually started a fire was static electricity, get in and then out of your vehicle while puping gas is the most likly way to blow yourself up at the pump!
