Okay ladies, fess up, do you get your 3 servings of dairy a day and if so, how do you manage to sneak it in. I like to make a bix box of sf jello, but with 3 cups of water instead of 4, then when the jello is partially set, I whip in 2 containers of sf, ff yogurt with the blender. It yields several large snacks for very few calories and has some dairy in it. Now let's hear your secrets!

Yes I probably get more than 3 servings. I love dairy and drink a LOT of milk, eat a LOT of cheese, and I eat a lot of yogurt. If anything I get way too much dairy, but as I get older I have found it is very important for me.

Wow, I think you are the exception. I love cereal with a lot of milk, and I make fruit smoothies with yogurt and I like cheese and I just realized that I have calcium in my propel, but it doesn't look like that add in vitamin d. Mmmm, too late to get some sun now, might as well just relax until it comes up.

I drink milk in the morning, cheese a bit on my salad and milk at night with dinner. Sometimes I drink a bit more milk but not too often since we need it for the kids. Yogurt is big in our house and we always add it to the hot chocolate mix to make it creamier. So we manage to get our dairy. Ice cream counts to on the occasion we get that too.

Ok, I will be keeping an eye on you. You don't need osteoporosis. That is interesting, what kind of yogurt do you add to the hot chocolate? that sounds good.

When I have all the stuff on hand to do smoothies we get our 3 a day plus some! LOL I can fess up that I'm rarely if ever in alignment with what the suggest servings are for anything! I have good days and bad... some I get close, others I'm lucky to have enough to take even 1/3 of the food pyramid! For me though, dairy is easy as I love cheese, yogurt and ice cream (yes, I know... all things NOT so good for me! LOL)

IT sounds like you are getting some dairy, but you do realize that soda, spaghetti, fruits and chilly chicken burgers do not contain dairy? You better make sure you are getting your proper amounts of diary products.

I'm Asian and I have scoliosis. Both puts me a greater risk of developing osteoporosis as I age. This is why me and my mom make sure that I get my daily calcium allowance. I usually have warm milk before sleeping. This is constant. In the morning, I either have it in my oatmeals or as plain warm milk. In betweens, I either have yogart or milk shakes. Thats not counting cheese and other dairy products.

Wow it sounds like you are definitely on the right track for the dairy products. Keep it up. You are probably one of the few.

I didn't realise you were supposed to have 3 servings of dairy a day? I know you have to have so much water adn 5 fruit and veg portions. What constitutes 3 portions of dairy? I have to be careful how much dairy i eat becuase it can affect my eczema and give me rashes. Some days i probably go without much dairy other than the milk in my tea (though i do drink a fair bit of tea) and maybe a small bit of snack cheese.

Usually 8 oz of milk, a container of yogurt. You can also get some calcium from brocolli or sardines (yuck). I would suggest you take a calcium supplement and get some sunlight for Vitamin D.
