ive been there! with my husband and parents-in-law. it's a great place and we wanted to come back. we went to beijing, shanghai, and shenzhen for a pleasure trip and it was fun! china's historical places like the great wall, summer palace, and the forbidden city are all amazing! our tourist guides are very accommodating and friendly. i hope i can bring my parents there soon ^_^

hi! really? are you doing some tourist guide job? thank you! if we plan to go there we will contact you. our travel agency here gave us a package tour and they have their counterpart in china do the touring for us there. my father-in-law has a chinese blood but he doesn't speak any chinese language. his descendants all live in xiamen. we're joking him that if ever we go to china again we will go to xiamen and find the roots of his decendants haha. ^_^

I was in China for a conference in Leadership. I met a few business and government workers. However, we also spent time with the locals, and for me, this was the best part. :) We had lunch with members of the working community, and stayed with a host family for a few days in Beijing. :) I enjoyed it very much.

I've been there. It's nice, has a long history to it. You should try the forbidden city and the great wall. It'll blow your mind. Bring some warm clothing and a translator though. Oh,you'll spend most of your time biking.

Oh! The Forbidden City! I've been there. :) I was SHOCKED to find that there is a Starbucks in the middle of it. How are the locals not offended by this?! A wonderfully ancient piece of their history, ridden with commercialism?!
