my pc is infected by this kind of virus, its a memory resident type of virus that you can see on your task manager. it keeps on producing eraseme_#### (random numbers) in your windows\system32 and windows\temp folder. mine has 2,726 files of that now and consuming 60mb+ of space in my hard drive and it keeps on multiplying until now thats why the performance of my pc slows down. have you encounter this? if so did you get rid of it? how?

Hi zerbite, all I can suggest to you is reformatting your PC, then install either Kaspersky or Symantec antivirus. These two softwares are paid version. They are very effective when it comes on scanning and detecting viruses, malwares, and worms. Currently, I am using a free version antivirus, which is avira antivir personal classic edition. This can be downloaded at their official website at www.free-av.com. You have to regularly update your antivirus so that your software will have the latest list of viruses at the present time. Failed to perform this may be dangerous and your machine will not be totally secured against these viruses. I suggest also that you should always turn ON your windows firewall because this will also help blocking the entrance of viruses and malwares while surfing the net. Also, try to use opera and mozilla as your main browser because it is much safer when compared to IE. Hope this would help. Have a nice day and God speed!

maybe you can try this: Windows® Defender http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435 Brief Description Windows Defender is a free program that helps you stay productive by protecting your computer against pop-ups, slow performance and security threats caused by spyware and other potentially unwanted software. Windows Defender no longer supports Windows 2000 as mainstream support ended in June 2005. hope this helps!

Thanks for response.Ahh, i think its not a virus. you'll encounter that blue screen when you got a memory problem or when something goes wrong with your operating system.
