How do I get the star by my name?

I just signed up three days ago and I don't understand how this works. Can someone please tell me? Why don't I have a star by my name? How do I get one? Help! What's going on here?

Congratulations...! u've got star,But just as a friend I want to tell u something. U r rated as 3, just point mouse on star and see it will show points u've got.The more rank u get as 8,9,10 u r paid more. For increasing rank u try this...Don't reply to discussion which require to answer only yes or no, and don't place such discussions, they don't get counted. Choose Discussions carefully.

I just got it from MyLot. I don't know why and how, I'm still new here. But I noticed some people do not have their number of postings beside their names, is it me or is this site changing again??

i have joined almost more then a a mionth back but i didnt recieved any star yet..i dont know the reason abut that...can u tel me what is all this..???
