Would you quit a job that made you a lot of money if it was not right for you?

My cousin is working at a job that makes him good money. He has bben there for 7 years. But it is a job he does not like, and he does not feel respected. AT the end of the day, he feels used. But it is steady work and it pays the bills year after year. Should he quit? Why or why not?

I have quit a job that was paying me more than what I make now. Sure the bills were getting paid easier - but I wasn't happy. I drove to work everyday and dreaded it. I drove home at the end of the day wondering what I accomplished. I started being sick more often since I could do so much moer at home than I could at work. Quiting that job was the best thing that I have done! I am now a stay at home mom and in-home daycare provider. I am able to stay home with my kids and also provide a loving home for other children while their parents work.

Well I think at first your cousin should find another job before he quits his present job surely he can find something where he may receive a better income and is respected some places we work in our lives just do not respect what we do for them.

I think most people are unhappy with their jobs and feel like they are being used as well. I know that feeling very much with some of my past jobs and I did take a lower paying job that I am working currently. I like it much better than my previous jobs, other than the pay. It was a good decision and choice for me as I have had very few health problems since leaving my last couple jobs. Yes, I would quit a higher paying job for a smaller one.
