what is your dream vacation?

This is going to sound funny, but my dream vacation is to explore my family history more. I would start by going to Harrison County Ohio to the historical library to see if I could find some type of birth or christing record for my Gr, Gr, Grgrandfather on who his parents are. I have a good ideal, but have to go there to get the proof. If I am correct his GrGrandfather was in a massacre where he lost his life and the lives of 22 of his men including two of his son's. I want to show my kids how we got to Indiana throughout the Centuries. I have been able to trace them back to Royal England. But want to be sure before trying to take them to these national monuments. On my grandmother's side of the family I have had better luck. Better record keeping on this side of the family, I have been able to trace my family history, through out America, to England, to France. I have names, dates, and locations for this side of the family. I want to go there and see if I can find proof of my theory. I believe and strongly suspect that some of the Knights of Templars escaped the Massacre of the Pope. I think my family are living proof of this. From Family documents, I have found we had Knights in our family for generations, and the dates and places match that of the Knights Templar. So that is my dream vacation, being able to prove or disprove my theory, and understanding my families past.

My perfect vacation would be either on an island, food for 3 months, books, no cell phone, co computer just sun and fun. Ok maybe I would take a playmate too. Or go back in time to the wild west and have a farmstead. Living in the cabin and trying to garden, washing clothing on the washboard, Sunday services, a local doctor. A nice rocking chair, tea and a woodstove to cook on. Also for about 3 month, mid summer though fall.

My husband and I would settle for anywhere where there is a beach! :) We could live on the beach! :) We would probably want to retire and just live there with our son and raise our son there. We would probably be lazy and just hang out. :) We aren't much into activities these days. We are homebodies. :)

Well Come to think of it,If it's dream vacation it 's got to be in Swiss. Whadya say? The country is so postcard perfect and not to 4get the hospitability. One added advantage would be it's strategic location ,which is why it's the centre of attraction 4 all vacation seekers. Man it would be a dream to ski on The Alps, Enjoy the healthy air wow. wow

my dream vacation askes for more budget. hence, if given the chance & the money, i would like to visit italy. i so like the place. its so romantic & peaceful. seems like the place can refresh me & my hubby, inside and out. i like to cruise on ships & ride on boats passing under the bridges. i can see our selves in a movie.. tee-hee!

just wanted a very simple vacation..i plan this every summer..and it is always cancelled...BEACH HOPPING!!!
