Ok I must be old fashioned , I am always on at my son to shave , I know it is his choice and he likes to be clean shaven but some days he just can't be bothered , I see on TV a lot of really handsome young men well dressed and with DESIGNER STUBLE my granddaughter lells me this is "the fashion" It must be rather rough on the partners faces though . what to you think ? x

I hate not shaving, I hate having a stubble, it makes me look unkempt and yes, in a way lazy, plus it itches like hell! I much prefer a smooth finish, but then again I never flow with the fashion gurus, I'm a fashion rebeller and will look like I want to look and wear what I want to wear, whether it's the lastest fashion or not!

It's pretty horrible I reckon .. puts me right off a guy .. my feelings are if they can't keep the areas we can see nice and clean and tidy .. then whats the 'hidden' areas going to be like ..
Clean nails, teeth and ears go a long way with me .. that shows me a guy is taking care with his hygiene .. a beard or moustache is fine (although still a turn off for me ) but stubble looks sloppy and careless ..
Sorry weemams son .. but it really doesn't look nice, and it definitely doesn't feel nice AT ALL to be kissed by a guy with nasty scratchy stubble .. a silky smooth face is a must for getting the right girls ..

Hi Weemam, Yes I know exactly what you are saying here and you are right it looks more cleaner when a man has shaved his face and it is very rough on us woman but the reason behind this is not due to the fashion it is because if they shave nearly everyday then the skin becomes thicker this is the reason.

Hi Wee, gee, this is an old post...lol. I think men with that stubble look awful! And I've been a victim of stubble rash and it's unsightly and uncomfortable (I like kissing).
However, I do feel sorry for men having to shave every day so I've become somewhat tolerant. So saying, most guys I see with stubble haven't bothered to shave and the rest of them is grotty too as if they haven't even bothered to bathe or probably even wash! YUCK.

I admit, I do this now and then. But then I don't have a significant other to worry about either.

I don't like kissing a stubbly face, but I've very sensitive skin. I can however understand your son's sometimes not wanting to shave every day and every day. It can be a pain in the face. And a nuisance.

Oh I must be very old fashioned too because I hate to see stubble on faces. My hubby shaves twice a week and when he has stubble I hate him even kissing me LOL! My brother looks so smart when he shaves yet his girlfriend prefers him not to so half the time he looks scruffy and "stubbly" - not one person we know thinks it looks nice but because his girlfriend likes it he has an excuse to not bother shaving! I don't understand it at all - it's like young girls find it attractive when guys wear their jeans hanging off their bums with their underwear showing UGH! LOL I will never understand this type of fashion. When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s it was NOT cool to dress like a tramp! x
