Some people say you can clean them with alcohol I think that that can mess them up, how about pure water and soft cloth. I have read where you can get scratches off CD's with furniture polish. I have so many CD's from over the years. and I want to take care of them so they will last a life time. what would you recommend? and for DVD's keep them in a cover that's for sure. how do you take care of yours? CD's and DVD's are expensive. thanks for your help in advance.

I read on a post here last night that you cna remove a sratch from a cd by putting peanut butter on it and then removing it with a coffee filter. I don't know if it is true, but I thought that it was interesting.

there are special disk cleaners that you can buy anywhere from $20 and up. You can also buy a cd to put threw your dvd player that will clean it. This is also helpful to put threw your ps2 players ect.
