This sounds so stupid, but there are people who say Jesus had a wife, and even kids! Is that even worth considering a possibility? I mean, sure everyone likes to point their fingers at christians and bring up so-called 'scientific evidence' of Jesus having a family and such, but I think that is ridiculous. Whats the general opinion?

I am a Christian, a child of God, baptized into Christ on October 1, 1989 and I belong to the Church of Christ founded and headed by Christ as shown in Acts Chapter 2. I follow the Christian religion the doctrines or teachings of which are laid down in the Holy Bible which is the Word of God and the truth. In the Holy Bible, no verse could be pointed out to show that the Lord Jesus Christ had a wife and children. Of course He had a family consisting of His mother, brothers, and sisters as shown in Matthew 13:55-56 (no more mention of His father Joseph after the incident in Jerusalem except that he is a carpenter and the Lord is a son of the carpenter). It is not even worth considering it as a possibility. There could never be scientific evidence.

The Lord Jesus had no wife nor children and there's no verse in the Holy Bible saying such. But He had brothers and sisters as mentioned in Matthew 13:55-56.

The Bible is not lack of document. It is normally people who dont look for them.

I dunno. seems like the bible is consistently lacking documents anyways. Remember, King James authorized his version of the Bible, Not God, or Jesus. It is really too bad.

yes it has been said that jesus was married, it has also been said that he had a brother who know if these are truths or falsehoods he was a human being what should stop this from happening

The Bible mentions his brothers.

Matthew 12:46-49. I think the context makes it clear that it's not referring to a general brotherhood. Matthew 13:55 as well.

The bible mentions his brothers and sisters as a whole, sort of like me coming up to you and saying brother, even though we are not at all blood related. If you have any direct refference in the Holy Bible please provide the chapters verses etc.

I honestly don´t know and I do not think that anyone knows. Actually I have heard this as well before and it doesn´t really bother me. No matter what peopla will always have opinions about different things and if we all could agree there would be no war in this world....

I can have blind faith in the purple people eater, but until there is proof, how can I be sure?

It doesn't say if Jesus was married or notin the scriptures. that is why this is an issue.

Jesus is not married but of course he had as family His father Joseph, mother Mary, brothers, and sisters who are all mentioned in the Holy Bible. Well, that is past and therefore, therei's no longer a possibility that Jesus would have kids because the fact is that He did not have and nowhere in the Bible could be found that He had.

Do not let it all confuse you. Moreover, davinci code have this as well. I dont really approve the movie and look, they are just interpreting mainly from the picture that da vinci was drawing, davinci was human and there is no guarantee that what he imaginating is actually right. its just coincidence that the man next to Jesus which is John looks like woman and it said that its mary magdaline. its just so ridiculous. Man can be masculine and feminist those dayas, but still its just a drawing from davinci. You cannot comprehend something from it. there are also many scientific evidence. even scientific evidence is not 100% right. there is no guarantee.

ah yes, this is true, there is no scientific guarantee, just as there is no guarantee that the bible which I have been told all my life, is truly accurate.

The only place I've heard this is in the Davinci Code, but I have been intrigued by the idea and have always wanted to research it a bit more.

I agree, you have to research selectively, I could just post something that is wrong in the internent and that many people would say that it is true. By the way, research about that would be hard because internent cannot be the source. Even the ancient writing cannot be the proof of all that as it might be wrong. well, we are talking about the event around 2000 years ago.

It is good to learn more, but the source of your reseach must be proven to be true, if not there is no point in doing any research. Espeacially reseraching on the internet. Anyone can just post rubbish, and it is easily taken for the truth.

Since the Bible doesn't say, there's no way to be sure. I personally tend to believe he wasn't married. I think the church is his Bride and will be the only one. But it's not a sin to be married, and I'm not dogmatic about saying he wasn't.

I would argue that there is good circumstantial evidence that Jesus was married but there is nothing so striking that would be absolute proof.

the scripture is just the proof and a living one for that matter. If he had wife and kids the scriptures wont hide. Afterall the fisrt Adam had wife and children. Scientific proof cant be plce with spiritual proof.

Jesus never got married! When He lives in Earth to fulfill the prophecy, it's true He is half human but He also half God! But after He die on the cross his being human was ended! And there is no evidence that He got married, and I believe that He never does!
