Just wondering how long most typically wait to go back and mark best response to a discussion you've started. I've noticed at times I am responding to discussions that already have a best response. Just curious!

I would be interested to hear what long standing members do, myself. I want to pick best answers, but I don't know if there is a time frame I should do it within, or wait until everyone has had a chance to answer. I'd appreciate anyone's input, and I'm sure mrsanderson would, too!

I try to waite a week, but sometimes it takes me longer or I just can't decide which to pick so maybe a month or more. I don't like picking them too fast, I like to give everyone a chance to respond then got through a pick it.

When I decided to finally read mylot rules it says you should wait about a week before giving a best response, as others can respond later on to your discussion. If I have already given a best response and someone then makes a good response I will rate them with a + and tell them too. I find it annoying when a response is given within hours of the discussion being started or when a best response is never given. Not that I am waiting to be rewarded with it, but I like to see that the person who started the discussion has read the responses made and has taken the time to decide on the best one.
